Emergency Support

We can't plan for the unknowns in life. From financial stress, relationship stress, or those experiencing food insecurity. The Jewish Community Federation of Richmond is here to offer help and resources to make those uncertain times just a little less stressful.

Richmond Jewish Care Line: Help is one phone call away

Since 2017, the Richmond Jewish Care line, staffed by a caring and experienced Case Manager at JFS, provides confidential, coordinated and personalized resources developed over time with Jewish individuals or families in crisis. The care line is supported by all Richmond Jewish organizations, Rabbis, Synagogues, and committed individuals.

Feed More: Thriving Communities Start with Full Plates

Feed More's programs (since 1980) are dedicated to providing healthy meals and hope for a better tomorrow to Central Virginians who face hunger. With the support of the community, their programs distribute nutritious meals and wholesome foods to our neighbors who need it most. With one in eight Central Virginians struggling with hunger, Feed More's programs aim to help our neighbors when they need a hand up.
